Locanto affords companions to delete one review a month. Likely because it is a given that there is going to be a ridiculous, or unfair review left by an “unhappy punter”. Hence why, if you are going to read reviews, it’s best to look at the “general trend” rather than focusing on one of two bad reviews.
Over my 4 years with Locanto I have gotten to have a half decent “relationship” with one of the administrative staff who troubleshoots issues. I will provide you with an example of a review that was completely and utterly fabricated on me.
So, I had a one-star review left a few months ago. What the idiot said was so ridiculous what was obvious was that he hadn’t even met me. Chances are he is one of the 3000 odd people I have blocked for a variety of reasons. So, he got his nose out of joint and decided he would do his best to discredit me.
He wrote that I “was at least 70 years old and really fat”.
Now I haven’t had a review left on Locanto in a while, it seems like most are heading to my website. But said Locanto administrator just totally agreed with me that that “reviewer” indeed had not met me as you simply couldn’t describe me like that – the idea of either of those is, well, stupid. I barely have any fat on me and I am clearly at least 20-25 years younger than 70!!
Therefore, he removed said review without even taking it off my “one review a month” allowance that I haven’t needed since year 1.
I guess I just wanted to highlight that you cannot believe everything you read, in fact not even close. Some reviews are a complete misrepresentation written out of anger for some perceived “wrong”.
